Sharon, you're an extraordinary watercolorist. I'm a beginner, teaching myself, and am looking at your work to see how you do shadows and indicate the folds in a flower petal. You do it beautifully and make it look easy. You inspire me to keep trying. I'm a fine art photographer and have shot flowers for years. I'm also a gardener and have grown dahlias in New England for a very long time so I really like your choice here of an olive-type green rather than the bright green for the leaves. You've also adjusted the background colors to complements the leaves. The orange cactus bloom has been rendered wonderfully. Thanks for the inspiration.
