This is a landscape watercolor painting of Glacier Creek in the valley where Mt. Alyeska is located south of Anchorage, Alaska. The flowers are called dwarf fireweed, and they can be found along the creeks throughout Alaska in the summer. Dwarf fireweed is related to the taller fireweed which is found in fields near there.
