This lilac tree grows in my garden. I took the photo reference on a beautiful day in April. I have painted this lilac several times, but this painting has been the most successful. The original will have an artisit's signature in the lower right hands corner.
About Sharon Freeman
Sharon was a member of the Northwest Watercolor Society and a juried member of the Southwest Washington Watercolor Society. Her watercolors have won awards in National and local competitions. Sharon�s paintings hang in public buildings in Washington State as well as hotels in Alaska. An article featuring Sharon�s watercolor techniques was published in the Artists� Magazine, October 2000 issue. See many more of Sharon's paintings on her website. �Watercolor is a means for me to celebrate nature. Trees, flowers, and water are a few elements that capture my imagination. I look for unique patterns within small areas of nature and try to emphasize them.
